Two tracker maps from the National Hurricane Center (NHC) and Central Pacific Hurricane Center show how the paths of Hurricane Ione and Tropical Storm Keli are forming. Hurricane Iona formed on Monday after undergoing rapid intensification.

Hurricane Iona rapidly weakened early today as it tracked well south of the state, while Tropical Storm Keli raced westward on a path also keeping it far from the Hawaiian Islands, forecasters said.
