The driver, a 45-year-old West Haven man, was not responding and police found that he had been shot. The man was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital, where he is critical, police said.

New Haven police later identified the 18-year-old was found with gunshot wounds in the area of Tilton and Mansfield streets, and said he died from his injuries at the hospital.
