The new Pipkin Middle School will be located on an 8.86-acre site purchased for $8 million. Construction of the new school is expected to be completed in 2027.

The construction on New Bridge Street in Jacksonville began in March 2023 and was supposed to end in December 2024. Now, the City of Jacksonville says it will not be done until early Spring.
