At the time, they were the New Jersey Nets and played their home games in East Rutherford. In 374 regular-season games as a Net, Carter averaged 23.6 points, 5.8 rebounds and 4.7 assists.

The Nets rolled out the red carpet for Carter this week, both literally and figuratively, before retiring his No. 15 jersey on Saturday ahead of their game against the Miami Heat at Barclays Center.

During his time suiting up for the Nets, Plumlee wore only jersey No. 1, and averaged 8.1 points and 5.4 rebounds per game.

Kidd's jersey was retired in October 2013. The Nets have also retired Drazen Petrovic's No. 3, John Williamson's No. 23, Bill Melchionni's No. 25, Julius Erving's No. 32 and Buck Williams' No. 52.

On Saturday, Jan. 25, the Empire State Building will honor Carter’s jersey retirement by lighting in the Nets’ historic red, white, and blue color scheme with the number 15 rotating on the spire.

During his time suiting up for the Nets, Bargnani wore only jersey No. 9 and put up 6.6 points and 2.1 rebounds per game.
