Wildfires prompted the closure of a major road linking the Florida Keys to the mainland several times this week.

A fire at the Dyno Nobel's facility in Biwabik lead to a precautionary evacuation for nearly two hours Tuesday. No one was injured.

With much of Western North Carolina under moderate drought or abnormally dry conditions, wildfires are burning in the region.
