Faizan Zaki is the 2025 Scripps National Spelling Bee champion. The 13-year-old spelled the word "éclaircissement" correctly on Thursday night to win in the 100th anniversary of the competition.

This year’s contest celebrates 100 years since the first spelling bee was held on June 17, 1925.
