National Grid has named its contracting partners for £8bn worth of substation infrastructure work across England and Wales.
1 March 2007 – The UK’s National Grid has signed contracts with two consortia worth over £1bn over five years to upgrade and develop the electricity transmission network across England and Wales.
The money will help cover the cost of National Grid’s $217 million capital investment projects approved by the state Department of Public Utilities.
National Grid says the outage is part of an electric system upgrade. It will impact roughly 730 customers in the city.
