The sad scene happened nearly three years to the day that Ryder shockingly collapsed and had to later be put down.

A carriage horse collapsed and died in Hell's Kitchen on Tuesday afternoon. It happened at around 2:30 p.m. at 51st Street and 11th Avenue. Video from the scene shows the horse on the ground as workers dragged the dead animal into a trailer.

The death of the 15-year-old mare named Lady was being investigated by the city’s health department, officials said.
