Washington Commanders coach Dan Quinn wiped blood from his face as he walked to the locker room at halftime after getting knocked down on the sideline in a collision with quarterback Marcus Mariota.

NFL head coaches are usually the ones telling their players to hit hard on the field, but Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn was on the receiving end of one during Sunday's game against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Quinn took a massive shot on the sideline in Sunday's 41-24 Commanders victory against the Las Vegas Raiders after his own quarterback, Marcus Mariota, ran out of bounds and into the coach. The hit looked brutal on replay. Quinn got hit in the face and appeared to smack his head on the ground.

Mariota was shoved out of bounds by Raiders safety Tristin McCollum late in the first half, but it was Quinn who took the brunt of it. Mariota slammed into Quinn, knocking off his coach's headset and sending him to the ground.

Quarterback Marcus Mariota carried the ball to the sideline, attempting to get out of bounds so the Commanders could kick a last-second field goal before halftime. In doing so, Mariota couldn't slow his momentum and ran into Quinn, which resulted in the coach going to the ground.
