Kristaps Porzingis had been an important player for the Boston Celtics in each of the previous two seasons. The 2024 NBA Champion has now been traded to the Atlanta Hawks.

However, Porzingis struggled mightily in the playoffs this past season as he battled through an illness. In 11 playoff games (7 starts), Porzingis averaged just 7.7 points and 4.6 rebounds per game.

The Hawks had a three-team trade with the Brooklyn Nets that allowed them to acquire star center Kristaps Porzingis. Atlanta traded Terance Mann and the No. 22 pick of the 2025 NBA draft to the Nets.
