Mr Nemadire said Mutanga was not out to defraud or steal from African Star Diamonds. He said the State had failed to prove its case beyond reasonable doubt, hence Mutanga was entitled to an acquittal.

Mr Mutanga said there are four factors that affected diamond value and they comprised the carat, colour, cut and clarity of the stone and students need to be taught the importance of each factor.
