A 'Monster High' movie from writer-producer Akiva Goldsman, Universal and Mattel is in development, the studios announced on Wednesday.

The “M3GAN” and “M3GAN 2.0” director has been tapped to helm the live-action “ Monster High ” film from Mattel, Universal Pictures and Akiva Goldsman’s Weed Road banner.

Said Goldsman: “ Monster High is delightfully personal to me — my daughters grew up loving the dolls and what they represent. Gerard’s work is sharp, daring, and full of heart.

Monster High 2 premieres Oct. 5 on Paramount+ and will premiere on Nickelodeon at 7 p.m. EDT. The film is directed and executive produced by Todd Holland.
