Monster Beverage Corp. was granted approval by a judge to acquire Bang Energy— a former Monster rival—out of Chapter 11 bankruptcy for $362 million, Bloomberg reported Wednesday.

Bang Energy will be forced to liquidate by the end of the day June 30 if a proposed $362 million sale to Monster Beverage doesn’t get FTC approval.

According to Monster, it's agreed to acquire Vital Pharmaceuticals -- maker of Bang energy drinks -- out of bankruptcy in a deal that Bloomberg says could be worth $362 million.

Monster Energy is entitled to $20.9 million in attorneys' fees and more than $22 million in additional damages in a dispute with its now bankrupt former rival Bang Energy over Bang's alleged false ...

Monster sued Bang in 2018. It accused Bang and Owoc of touting their energy drink with "Super Creatine" as a "miracle drink" that can "reverse mental retardation" and help cure neurological disorders.
