Former Vice President Mike Pence, who sought the GOP's 2024 presidential nomination, does not expect to attempt a grand political comeback but plans to continue to play a role in conservative policy.

Pence said recently he felt the only heroes on Jan. 6, 2021, were those in uniform protecting the people at the U.S. Capitol. "January 6 was a tragic day," Pence said.
