There have been eight reported break-ins over the past two weeks in one neighborhood in the Midwood section of Brooklyn, leaving people who live in the area, and police are on high alert.

Jhoan Puga, 17, was riding a gas-powered moped, with a passenger on the back, on E. Eighth St. in Midwood when it slammed into a Genesis G80 car driven by a man, 71, making a left turn, cops said.
