Joining a group chat can be a bit of a pain in Google Messages, but Google seems to be working on a more convenient solution.

Google Messages beta hints at a soon-to-arrive "join via link" feature, potentially helping users join group chats with a URL. Some other changes spotted in the beta include a familiar card-style design for the contact selection within the message forwarding menu.

Google highlighted issues users have reported with media texts for RCS chats in Messages. The company is rolling out a few updates for Messages that should solve media reception "slowdowns" and "failures" that users have recently reported.
