Cone Health President and Chief Executive Officer Mary Jo Cagle will step down from her position due to a serious family matter, the health system said Wednesday. Her last day will be May 31.
Cagle has served as Cone’s top executive since taking over from Terry Akin in June 2021. She began the first Cone physician and woman to hold both the president and chief executive roles.
