Five excellent actors play Figaro, Susanna, the Count, the Countess, Basilio and Antonio, lipsynching to Mr. Costanzo’s voice; Mr. Costanzo plays Cherubino whenever he is in the scene.

The Marriage of Figaro will be performed March 8, 13, 16 (matinee), 19, 22 (matinee), 25, and 28. Evening performances begin at 7 p.m. and matinee performances begin at 1:30 p.m.

Federica Lombardi floated through the Countess’s arias, and gave the character the right mixture of reserve and vibrancy. Michael Sumuel was a friendly Figaro, and Olga Kulchynska a likable Susanna.

The title character (Peter Kellner) of “The Marriage of Figaro” is set to marry Susanna (Ying Fang), maid to his employer’s wife, in Lyric Opera’s production of the Mozart opera.

In “The Marriage of Figaro” (“Le Nozze di Figaro”), the married Count is not as happy as might be expected and he’s now interested in Figaro’s fiancée, Susanna.
