A Russian Antonov An-24 passenger plane carrying about 50 people crashed in the country's far east on Thursday and everyone on board was feared to have been killed, emergency services officials said.

The wreckage of the aircraft with 49 people aboard is believed to have been found. The remains of the Russian An-24 that disappeared from radar in poor weather earlier today were reportedly spotted by an Mi-8 rescue helicopter, according to officials.
