Lynchburg city officials announced Wednesday that the next stage of utility and infrastructure improvements for its Downtown Renewal Project is set to begin in the 1400 and 1500 blocks of Main Street.

According to the city of Lynchburg, the closure from Main Street to Pearl Street will start Monday and last a total of 10 months.

Water service has been turned off in one area of Downtown Lynchburg thanks to a water main break. According to Lynchburg Water Resources, a water main broke on the 1200 block of Main Street.
