A James Cook University biologist has discovered a new species of lizard on Scawfell Island, a remote island 50 km east of Mackay in north Queensland.
Daina claims she “tried hard” to search for the injured creature but was unsuccessful, and flagged the incident with the Magnetic Island Network for Turtles.
