Dodgers owner Mark Walter will assume a controlling interest of the team; Jeanie Buss will remain in the governor role

The Buss family is nearing an agreement to sell majority ownership of the Los Angeles Lakers to Mark Walter, the CEO of TWG Global and owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers, sources familiar with the deal told NBCLA on Wednesday.

Jeanie Buss and the Los Angeles Lakers agreed to sell a majority ownership of the franchise for nearly $10 billion.
