A new Lion King spin-off TV movie for 2015 and series for 2016 are in production for Disney Junior and Disney Channel. The shows will follow Simba and Nala's son, Kion.

Kion is the son of Simba and Nala and the younger brother of Kiara. He serves as the prince of the Pride Lands and the leader of the Lion Guard. The Lion Guard toy was very cool.
