According to Carbondale police, dispatch received a call from someone reporting shots fired near Schneider Hall around 12:23 a.m. The call was routed to SIU Department of Public Safety.

The open house is set for 3 p.m. Wednesday at in Lindegren Hall on the SIU Carbondale campus for current and former faculty members, staff, students, alumni and community members.
