The 2025 box office got a big boost last weekend. Memorial Day is a holiday that is regularly paired with movie-going – thanks to studios typically targeting it with some major releases – and both Dean Fleischer Camp's Lilo & Stitch and Christopher McQuarrie's Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning successfully brought people to theaters.

Disney’s “Lilo & Stitch” is continuing its push towards $1 billion with a second weekend total of $63 million in the U.S. and Canada and $176.1 million worldwide, bringing its running total to $280 million domestic and $610.8 million global.

In cumulative totals, Mexico leads the international pack with $45.9m to date, ahead of UK/Ireland ($34.5m). Thanks to its strong hold, France ($23.1m) has now moved ahead of Brazil ($21.6m), with Germany ($18.1m) in fifth place. Next come China ($18.0m), Italy ($16.6m), Spain ($13.5m), Australia ($11.2m) and Argentina ($10.7m).
