At 2:35 p.m. on Monday, the NWS Wakefield VA issued a severe thunderstorm watch in effect until 10 p.m. The watch is for Bertie, Camden, Chowan, Currituck, Gates, Hertford, Northampton, Pasquotank and Perquimans counties.

On Friday at 3:39 p.m. an updated severe thunderstorm warning was issued by the NWS Raleigh NC in effect until 4:30 p.m. The warning is for Harnett, Johnston, Sampson and Wayne counties.
