Montgomery County officials are considering a new life insurance policy for county employees next fiscal year.

Term life insurance policies are available for up to 30 years with coverage ranging from $100,000 to $5 million. Protective also offers disability insurance, annuities and other financial products.

If a life insurance claim is not settled within 30 days it will accrue interest from the date of the death. Up to $300,000 guaranteed for lost death benefits per individual.

All Texas life insurance laws are governed by Texas Administrative Code Title 28 and the 2005 Texas Insurance Code. There is a 10-day free look period on all policies.
