January 13, 2017 / 6:20 PM / CBS Philadelphia PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The design of the 225th commemorative U.S. Mint Liberty Coin has been released, with coins expected to go on sale in April.

The coin was designed by artist Justin Kunz. Previous images of Lady Liberty were always depicted as a White woman. The coin is 24-karat gold and is set for release in April of 2017.
