Leicester City Council said the city and county councils would continue to fund the park and ride operation but will reduce their subsidy by half, from £422,000 a year to £211,000.

The trees in the park honor loved ones that have passed and even a fellow Leicester resident who has been there for 90 years. Every tree also has a handwritten tag on it to honor those loved ones.
