Evo aside, the direct injection, turbocharger diesel is the fastest Lancer of them all. It’s not that fast though; top speed is a reasonable 130mph while 0-60mph comes up in around 10 seconds.
The new Lancer is 56 percent stiffer torsionally than the car it replaces and offers 50 percent better bending resistance. It has higher torsional rigidity than even the Evo IX, for instance.
That’s 346 PS and 433 Nm in the metric system, noticeably more than the 4B11T four-cylinder turbo 2.0-liter engine in the Lancer EVO X.
Still, the Lancer Ralliart shares the 4B11 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder with the Evolution.
