The American funk band, best known for their 1980 R&B hit, “Fantastic Voyage”, will perform at the Holland Center Outdoors venue in September.

With Fantastic Voyage, the band’s throwback soul edge was given a contemporary sheen by 1980 standards. But more than 30 years later, the record retains a vibrancy that makes it evergreen.

The band’s biggest hit, “Fantastic Voyage,” was No. 1 on the R&B chart for two weeks and crossed over to reach No. 55 on Billboard’s Hot 100.
