A winter weather advisory remains in effect until 1 a.m. Monday, with a lake effect snow warning set to take effect from 1 a.m. Monday through 6 a.m. Wednesday for Wayne and Northern Cayuga counties.

Expect a fresh 6-9" of snow in the most intense snow bands surround by 3-6"/1-3" to 0-1" outside of the lake snows. As always, lake effect snow position and intensity forecasts can and usually change.

Snow totals do not look extreme for this event. Areas impacted by the bands of lake effect could see around 1-2", though some locally higher amounts are possible closer to the lakeshore.

Grand Rapids has seen about 38" of lake-effect snow, with most of that coming in mid-January with the bitter cold. Muskegon on the other hand has seen even more lake-effect snow and less system snow.
