An alleged police chase has ended with the driver jumping into Lake Burley Griffin. ACT Policing say it's lucky no one was injured after the car allegedly raced through a popular recreational area.

A police pursuit of a car towing another vehicle through southern NSW into the ACT has ended in Lake Burley Griffin, after the alleged driver fled into the water and swam away from cops.
