After pushing back Kyiv's forces in Kursk Oblast, Moscow has launched assaults on the Ukrainian regions of Kharkiv and Sumy.

Ukraine's military chief Oleksandr Syrskyi said in an interview published on Wednesday that Russia had launched a new offensive on the northeast of the country, adding that a large increase in assaults was already being observed.

Zelensky said the Ukrainian military captured two Chinese men fighting alongside the Russian army and that he believed “significantly more” were with Russian forces.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said more than 150 Chinese men were fighting for Russia in Ukraine, hours after China dismissed claims that many of its citizens were involved in the war.

Following the capture of two Chinese nationals fighting on the Russian side in Ukraine, Kiev has intensified its accusations against the government in Beijing. These are not isolated cases, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stressed in his evening video message on Wednesday.
