Krita’s are better, with cage options, unlimited grid divisions, etc. Printing. No excuses, this one is just odd: As hard as this is to believe, Krita doesn’t print.
I'd say Darktable is definitely the Lightroom replacement. Sounds like Krita is more Photoshop replacement, which to mean is HDR/Panoramic merge/blend/etc. So overlapping, but somewhat different uses.
