Killeen ISD has announced the naming of 10 new principals to schools across the district, including Roy J. Smith Middle School, where a student was killed in a stabbing in March.

KILLEEN, Texas — Roy J Smith Middle School in Killeen was placed on lockdown on March 10 after a student was stabbed on campus, according to the district.

The Killeen Independent School District has named an interim principal for Smith Middle School, the west Killeen school where a 14-year-old student was fatally stabbed last month.
