Karate Kid: Legends has passed a significant milestone at the box office less than one week after its release. Legends is the first film in the franchise since 2010's The Karate Kid.
It's probably not a great sign when a franchise movie grosses less than a third at the box office than its predecessor, but that's unfortunately the fate that has befallen Sony's Karate Kid: Legends.
As expected, Disney’s “Lilo & Stitch” will easily hold on to No. 1 to close out May at the box office, earning an industry estimated $61.5 million in its second weekend.
