The Kenya Red Cross says a helicopter with an unknown number of people has crashed into a residential area just outside Nairobi.

The U.N Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, citing the Kenya Red Cross Society, said Thursday that nearly 20,000 people have been affected.
