The official trailer, released Tuesday, shows Sonic (Ben Schwartz), Tails (Colleen O'Shaughnessey), and Knuckles (Idris Elba) teaming up against a new adversary: Shadow (Keanu Reeves).

All the Sonic movies have found success at the box office, but anticipation was significantly higher for Sonic the Hedgehog 3 because it featured Shadow, who is voiced by Reeves.

“Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails reunite against a powerful new adversary, Shadow, a mysterious villain with powers unlike anything they have faced before,” the synopsis for Sonic the Hedgehog 3 reads.
