A teenager crashed his truck through the Katy Freeway guardrails and ended up in the bayou Sunday night, officials said. Lifeflight was requested to transport him to a hospital.

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — A crash had the Katy Freeway shut down headed west near Highway 6 Sunday morning. Houston TranStar verified the crash at 2:54 a.m. It was reported cleared at 6:45 a.m.

At this time, it is unclear what led to the crash and if there are any fatalities. As of 5:35 p.m., the freeway has been reopened. This is a developing story. We'll add more details as we learn them.
