Luckily, Kentucky is rich in beautiful vistas. Robert Myers has spent the last 23 years hiking hundreds of miles of Kentucky State Park trails as part of his job as a naturalist for the system.

The north section is for the more backcountry hiker and offers more than 60 miles of trails. Sure, the trails are known for their spring ephemeral wildflowers but the trees are hard to beat, too!

The park is open from 8 a.m. to sundown 365 days a year. Due to recent storms, some of the hiking trails have been flooded, so take caution while hiking and ask a park ranger about the safest routes.
