JOSHUA TREE, Calif. (KESQ) - A fire destroyed a home in Joshua Thursday night. The fire was reported just before 9:40 p.m. on the 5100 block of Sunburst Street.

Crews are still on-scene as of 11:30 p.m. trying to take the tree off the home late into the night. As of now, Mosso says the building is uninhabitable, but is currently home to six apartments.

In Joshua Tree, the cactus is the star of the show during the day. At night, it’s the stars above that get all the attention. In the spring, there might be a super bloom if it rained in the winter.
