Jersey City officials announced July 17 the launch of a city-run ferry operation out of Port Liberte Ferry Terminal, which had been shut down since the early days of the pandemic in 2020.
Ferry services out of Port Liberte were shut down in February 2020 due to COVID-19 but resumed on July 5 after Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop’s administration gained control of the ferry terminal.
