It was well established entering the off-season that the Boston Celtics badly needed to clear cap space amid the highest payroll in the NBA, and the organization got a jump on doing so with the trades of Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis.

The Boston Celtics have been active in the trade market. Jrue Holiday is gone. Kristaps Porzingis is gone. Could Jaylen Brown be next? Never say never, but the Celtics have officially set out to do what they did this offseason.
