Jake Gyllenhaal has starred in everything from summer blockbusters to surreal art films, ... partially because it came out after "Patriot's Day," another movie about the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing.

More specifically, Jake was born to film director Stephen Gyllenhaal and screenwriter Naomi Foner, and got his early start in movies playing Billy Crystal's son in the 1991 hit City Slickers.
