Left tackle Davis Heinzen, who set records at Manitowoc, joins the Badgers after three years as a starter at Central Michigan and may fill a big void.

They’ve discussed the idea of moving right tackle Darnell Wright to left tackle, if necessary. While Wright dodged a question about it this month, general manager Ryan Poles said it’s an option.
