This would be very difficult. However, you can use the cut and treat the stump method of control. Look under the hedges and find where the poison ivy vines are growing out of the ground.

All the ivy and other vines should be taken out of the tops of your trees, off the trunks and away from the bases of trees. Winter is an excellent time to do this.
