JERUSALEM (Reuters) -Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar delivered a formal reprimand to the ambassador of the Netherlands on Tuesday in response to Dutch criticism over the treatment of Palestinians and a travel ban against two members of the Israeli cabinet.

The Dutch government imposed entry bans on Israeli ministers Bezalel Smotrich and Itamar Ben Gvir, as European governments harden their stance toward Israel amid reports of mass starvation in the besieged Palestinian territory.

The Netherlands has banned two far-right Israeli ministers from entering the country. The move comes as the European Union considers partially suspending Israel’s access to a science and technology program.
