DUBAI, Feb 7 (Reuters) - Iran on Tuesday revealed an underground air force base, called "Eagle 44" and the first of its kind large enough to house fighter jets, the official IRNA news agency said.
It's not clear when the jets will arrive, but Iran has long sought them to boost its aging air force. Even without new Russian jets, Iran may be able to gain an aerial edge over its neighbors.
