Poverty rates nearly slashed in half in both urban and rural areas across the Caribbean nation. Jamaica is celebrating a record drop in its poverty rates, with 8.2% being the lowest in its history.

During the meeting, it was highlighted that since reopening in June 2020, Jamaica has welcomed over 3.5 million (3,556,394) visitors as at July 2022.
